FWD:labs is a film + web + design studio and collective network. We've been doing full-service and D.I.Y. custom sites since 2006. We specialize in websites for filmmakers, small businesses, and organizations.
We're headquartered in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, which means we're available for calls and coffee. None of our work is outsourced overseas. We pride ourselves in long-term relationships and often host the sites we build for years.
Some of our clients in different industries include:
* Film (Point of Blue Studios, Stage THIS, Wolfe Air, Eric Monjoin, and more)
* Small Business (Council of Fashion Designers of Scandinavia, Musical Theater Los Angeles, and more)
* Organizations (The Durfee Foundation, Labor United for Universal Healthcare, Alliance for Research on Corporate Sustainability, SCI Arc, UCLA Center for East-West Medicine, and more)
Our process starts with a conversation, leading to a design direction deliverable, a beta site, and then a final site. Each round has revisions. We've found this "big picture" to "small detail" workflow gives the best transparency to all stakeholders.
We also help after the new website is launched: SurveyMonkey, Facebook Ads, Google AdWords, MailChimp, Constant Contact, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and more.
All in all, we do responsive, sustainable, and impactful pro websites that deliver results for years.
At FWD:labs, we built the Stage THIS site from scratch very quickly and inexpensively, yet it highlights another low-maintenance, highly clear website for a small business. Several times a week, prospective customers fill out the "rentals" form, explore the specs and photos of the soundstage, and know a lot in a glance about what this place has to offer. In the several years this site has been online, we've only made slight changes because things worked right in the first place, and it’s allowed the company to focus on their business and not just updating their website.
