I'm the best first step in web development. I listen to you and help you get the optimum web site from the best people using the best tools given your budget. I can actually work with all levels of budget, but I've found that the average organization that can benefit from my help wastes the first $3,000-7,000 of their budget developing by trial and error. Sites budgeted over $100K are usually managed by professionals, but organizations with smaller budgets need a coach. "I don't know what I want, but I'll know it when I see it..." is no way to invest in web development today. I write Functional Specs for web sites, and if you want, coach you through the RFP (Request For Proposal) process with developers. When we are done, you will know what you need and why, and the developers you connect with will all be seeing the same problem, but free to solve it using their own talent and tools.
Web developers range from designers using PhotoShop and DreamWeaver, to teams skilled in Drupal, Joomla, or Rails. How do you know what you need or what's best? Together we will figure it out. I'm agnostic and respect Ruby, PHP, JSP and all the frameworks equally.
Developers love me because I remove risk from their projects by eliminating the "hitting a moving target" customer problem.
